6:30pm on Thursdays @ Sweet Things (1 Park Blvd San Diego, CA 92101)

End your Thursday the right way.
Run Club & After Miles is back and this time we’re doing it under the evening sky. We meet at 1 Park Blvd, hit the streets of San Diego together for 3.5 miles and then we treat ourselves because honestly, we earned it. After miles comes the best part, a stop at Sweet Things where the only rule is you order something good.
This is running without the ego. No pace requirements, no pressure, just a group of people who decided that Thursday evenings belong to them. The city looks different at 6:30pm and so will you after you’ve moved your body, cleared your head and shared a treat with people who get it.
Tuesday gets the sunrise. Thursday gets the sweet ending.
All levels welcome. Bring your running shoes, bring a friend and save room for something delicious after.
We run hard. We treat ourselves harder!
Be Allways Ready’s Thursday run club is how your week ends right. This run club follows the same community-first format as our Tuesday morning sessions — group movement, real conversation on the route, and a proper stop at one of our partner sweet treat spots when you cross the finish line. You earned it.
Thursday is a tough day to commit to a run club. The week is almost done, energy is low, and the couch is calling. That is exactly why we built this run club the way we did. You are not running alone in your neighborhood at 7 PM wondering if you should turn around early. You are running with a group that is all choosing to show up and finish the week strong. The run club energy on Thursdays is different — it is the kind of energy that comes from a group of people who all made the decision to not quit when the week got hard.
And the sweet treat after? It makes the run club feel like a celebration, not just a workout.
Our Thursday run club typically covers 3 to 5 miles on a local route. We start and finish together as a group. The pace is inclusive — this run club is not a race. After the run, the whole run club walks to our partner sweet treat location for the “After Miles” finish. Think acai bowls, dessert bites, or whatever our current partner is serving. Details are shared with run club members in advance.
The Thursday run club attracts a mix of regulars and first-timers. If you are new to the run club scene, Thursday is a great entry point. The end-of-week energy is relaxed and welcoming, and the sweet treat stop at the end gives everyone a natural reason to stick around and connect after the miles.
Both run club sessions build community and get miles in, but the vibe is different. Tuesday mornings are an energizing start to the week. Thursday evenings are a strong close to it. Some of our run club regulars do both — different energy, same community. Whether you come to one or both, you are part of the Be Allways Ready run club family.
Check our events calendar for the next Thursday run club date. To run with us on Tuesdays as well, visit our Tuesday run club page. Stay connected with the run club on Instagram @allwaysreadyactive.
Is registration required for the Thursday run club? Yes — registration is free and helps us plan the route and sweet treat order. Register through the event listing above.
What counts as a sweet treat? Our run club partners rotate. Past partners have included dessert shops, acai spots, and local bakeries. The current partner is always announced ahead of each run club.
Can I bring kids or a dog? We love it when the community brings the whole family to run club. Check the specific event listing for any route restrictions.
